I began with the blue background from the header. Using Picnik, I made the frame and added the text. (If you have the "What to do when Picnik closes?" you might be interested in this post. And if you know what you will do, please share! I need to be able to add text and basic edits.)
Then using this tutorial's suggestion, I made a draft post for the image here (since it is a Blogger blog) and used her very good directions to find the HTML needed to know the URL for the image. I tried to follow her directions several times for making the drop box. It didn't work.
Then I gave up, knowing I'd come back to it after a couple weeks. This morning I found Grab My Button Code Generator. And voila, I have a button! Actually...two buttons!
If I can do it, you can, too!
<div align="center"><a href="http://www.thissimplehome.com/" title="This Simple Home" target="_blank"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtQWU9ozllM37HIba-98dixiOqGYx1WTqMOekVaXTRalGpBD6kulNVko7lc1Bd28PWA2Suv5i0pTOljYL_lWI1Tb8swE9yfSqyJxOLbvIu80eSwe3DQDPbf9RKeUJis6QhEIfhLXiAqk0/s1600/Blog+Button2.jpg" alt="This Simple Home" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
I am pinning this for if I ever need to make another button. Like you know for my new blog......
