I remember having Magic Shell once as a child. The chocolate syrup drizzled over my ice cream magically turned crispy hard. Mmm...
So I was rather excited to see this simple recipe for homemade Magic Shell. And of course I gave it a try.
Yes, the homemade Magic Shell ice cream topping really does taste delicious and it hardens on the ice cream in a crunch, sweet, chocolaty shell!
Make your own by placing 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons coconut oil in a small, microwavable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat heating and stirring every 15-30 second until melted. Cool for five minutes. Pour over ice cream and serve.
ENJOY!
