Jewel of Persia Giveaway

Before the book Jewel of Persia was even published, I wanted to read it. That might sound fairly normal if I had ever read even one of Roseanna White's books before, but I had not.

Why was I so interested? Somehow I learned about the book Roseanna was writing, called Jewel of Persia. Since it was set around Esther (though not a main character in the story) from the Bible I was intrigued, though I am not typically a huge fan of biblical fiction. Then I began reading Roseanna's blog. She shared much of her writing experience and research on her blog, and I was just amazed at how well researched this book would be upon publication. (It was published in 2010.)

Curious why Roseanna still loves this book? She wrote about it today on her blog with another GIVEAWAY! You can also explore her Companion Guide and Discussion Questions. The Companion Guide is especially helpful for the reader to distinguish fact from fiction in this book of biblical fiction.

Last year when Carrie asked me if I would be interested in choosing a title for the Reading to Know Book Club, I said yes. Eventually, I chose Jewel of Persia since I had not yet read it, and really wanted to, for the reasons stated above. (Since then I have read two of Roseanna's books- Love Finds You in Annapolis, Maryland and A Stray Drop of Blood. Linked to reviews. I've also gotten to know Roseanna, too! It is fun having author friends!)
